Happy New Year 2021 to all our Wild Imagers
1st January 2021
We wish all our many Wild Imagers a very Happy New Year!
2021 must surely be a huge improvement on 2020, a tragic year for so many and a true catastrophe for all kinds of travel and tourism, worldwide. Not only have so many much-anticipated travel plans had to be put on long-term hold, but the livelihoods of so many people have been destroyed. We wish all of you the start of a recovery from this torture during 2021.
Mercifully, although we have heard of plenty of Wild Imagers and some of our own staff and leaders, and also staff of our agents overseas, contracting Covid-19, we have only heard of one person who became seriously ill and we have heard of no deaths. Thank goodness for that! It must have helped that our people are typically healthier than the average population.
On a much happier note, we have already been hearing from Wild Imagers who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 and we hope all of you will be vaccinated by late 2021. Mark and I will be getting vaccinated the minute we are offered the opportunity.
Mass vaccination is going to make a huge difference and will undoubtedly see the collapse of the pandemic over the next year or so, although some countries will surely have more difficulties than others in achieving sufficient levels of vaccination to crush transmission.
In the meantime, travel is going to be limited or zero for many people, but you can still dream of those happy times ahead when you will be out there travelling the world again and enjoying taking zillions of wonderful images.
Please, all of you keep safe until vaccination arrives.
Best wishes
Inger Vandyke and Mark Beaman
