Yukio’s First Day Out Childrens Book – supporting Polar Bear Conservation

At Wild Images we are always enthralled when we see the photography of our guests come to life.  In November 2024, we had the pleasure of hosting talented polar photographers Liwen Tao and HJ Yang on our spectacular journey to photograph the Emperor Penguins on the sea ice of the Weddell Sea and while we were travelling with them we learned of a wonderful children’s book published by Liwen about Polar Bears.

Titled “Yukio’s First Day Out” this gorgeous childrens book tells the story of a baby polar bear emerging from her den and being cared for by her mother.

This captivating small book features Liwen’s beautiful photography and it is an ideal gift for children, parents, grandparents and educators.
